RAMALLAH, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 (WAFA) - A decline in registered exports and imports of goods has been npted in April, 2024, compared to April, 2023, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The PCBS said in a report that exports decreased in April, 2024 by 9% compared to April, 2023 and reached USD 102.8 Million.
Exports to Israel decreased in April, 2024 by 3% compared to April, 2023 and it represented 92% of total exports in April, 2024.
At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 44% during the same period compared to April, 2023.
Imports decreased in April, 2024 by 28% compared to April, 2023 and reached USD 420.3 Million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 24% in April, 2024 compared to April, 2023 and it represented 61% of total imports in April, 2024.
At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 32% compared to April, 2023.

The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 32% in April, 2024 compared to April, 2023 and reached USD 317.5 Million.
