Turkiye increases quota for Palestinian dates exempted from customs

RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 27, 2024 (WAFA) - The Turkish government has decided to increase the quota for Palestinian dates exempted from customs to the Turkish market from 3,000 to 5,000 tons annually.

This decision comes in response to Palestine's calls to raise the quota of Palestinian dates exempted from customs and facilitate the entry of Palestinian agricultural products into the Turkish markets.

Palestinian Minister of Economy, Mohammad Al-Amour, welcomed the decision in a phone call with Turkish Minister of Trade, Omer Bolat, expressing gratitude to Turkiye, its government, and people for their unswerving support to their Palestinian brethren, including support for Palestinian farmers.

Both ministers emphasized ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation, economic, and trade relations between the two countries, aiming to increase trade in line with the special political relationship between the two sides.
