RAMALLAH, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 (WAFA) – Weather in Palestine today is expected to be very hot and dry as the country goes under the effect of a heatwave, with a significant rise in temperature, which becomes nine degrees Celsius above the annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is easterly to southeasterly, light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Another significant temperature rise is expected on Tuesday, reaching 13°C above the seasonal average and paving the way to very hot, dry and dusty weather conditions.
The heatwave is expected to continue on Thursday thus hot, dry and dusty weather conditions are expected to continue with no change in temperature.
Partially cloudy and hot conditions are expected to prevail on Friday as temperature drops yet remains five degrees Celsius above the annual average.
PMD warns citizens against direct exposure to the sun especially in the peak hours, and setting fire in dry areas.
