GAZA, Monday, January 15, 2024 (WAFA) – At least 25 people were killed and dozens were injured tonight in the ongoing Israeli bombardment of different areas in the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources at the European Gaza Hospital reported that 11 people from the al-Saiban and Ben Jermi families, most of whom are children and women, were killed and many others wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the Mirage area, north of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, eight people were killed and dozens of others were wounded, including members of the Civil Defense, following an Israeli bombing of a site near the Civil Defense headquarters in Khan Yunis City, according to sources at Nasser Hospital.
Four people were also killed and several others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on the al-Bureij refugee camp, in central Gaza. The Israeli bombardment of Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City also resulted in the killing of two people and the wounding of several others.
In the meantime, the Israeli occupation warships fired several missiles targeting Tel al-Hawa and Sheikh Ajlin neighborhoods, west of Gaza City, while Israeli artillery shelling targeted the eastern parts of the city.
The death toll since the start of the aggression on October 7 last year has risen to more than 24,000, with 60,317 people injured and over 8,000 people reported missing. The aggression resulted in mass destruction of property and infrastructure.
