TULKARM, Tuesday, November 7, 2023 (WAFA) - Six citizens, including a woman, were injured during Israeli occupation forces’ storming of Tulkarm camp on Tuesday dawn.
WAFA correspondent said that two young men were injured by fragments of a missile fired by an occupation drone, while a woman was injured by a bullet in the shoulder. She was identified to be the mother of slain Palestinian Izz al-Din Awad, who was killed by the occupation forces yesterday evening.
A young man was injured by a bullet in the thigh, and another was wounded by a bullet in the chest, and his injury was reported to be serious.
Another youth was injured in the lower extremities.
The casualties were transferred to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.
Large forces of the occupation army, accompanied by two bulldozers, stormed the neighborhoods of al-Balawneh, Al-Hadaydah, Al-Ghanem, Al-Shuhada, Al-Murabba'a, and Al-Muqata'a" in the camp, tightened the siege on it from all sides, raided a number of citizens' homes, and conducted an extensive search operation inside them and subjected its residents to interrogation, but no arrests were reported.
The occupation forces also stormed the homes of slain youths Qasim Muhammad Rajab and Izz al-Din Awad, who were killed by the occupation forces along with two other youths yesterday.
The occupation bulldozers razed Al-Madares Street, which is the main street at the entrance to the camp, and destroyed its infrastructure, electricity poles and a number of shops, and opened fire on the electricity transformer, causing a power outage in the camp.
The occupation forces fired at citizens' homes and vehicles, and detonated a drone on the roof of Al-Banna family's house, setting fire to a part of the house and slightly wounding two of its residents.
Violent confrontations took place between young men and the occupation soldiers, who fired bullets.
The occupation forces deployed their patrols and vehicles in the streets of Tulkarm, specifically along Nablus Street adjacent to the camp, and Al-Quds Open University Street, and deployed their snipers on the roofs of houses and buildings in the camp and its surroundings.
