RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 12, 2023 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today continued to focus on the Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip with headlines and pictures highlighting the mass killings and destruction.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said in its main front-page story headline that darkness befell Gaza after it ran out of fuel to run the electricity generators, stressing that a health and humanitarian disaster is expected as a result.
It said that Israel used the internationally banned white phosphorous bombs in its attacks on Gaza and that the strikes targeted paramedics and universities.
Al-Ayyam daily said mass murder, destruction and displacement in Gaza, while the third daily, al-Quds, said Israel vowed to “uproot” the resistance.
The pictures that occupied a large space on the front page of the three dailies were of the deaths, destruction and people looking for safer places to stay.
The three dailies also reported on the tense situation in the north and the exchange of gunfire between Hizbullah and Israel.
They also printed reactions to the Israeli attacks on Gaza and al-Ayyam quoted an Israeli lawmaker calling on using nuclear bombs against Gaza.
Al-Quds said Jewish extremist organizations called for the closing of Al-Aqsa Mosque until the Israeli captives are released.
It said that settler terrorists attacked Palestinian civilians in many areas in the occupied West Bank.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said six people were killed in the West Bank by Israeli soldiers, including four in Qusra village, near Nablus.
