Dailies highlight final statement of Fatah Revolutionary Council’s 11th session

RAMALLAH, Sunday, August 27, 2023 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic-language dailies focused today on the final statement of the Fatah Revolutionary Council’s 11th session in Ramallah.

These are the main headlines of the three dailies:

Al-Quds:

- Palestinian martyr Izz al-Din Kanaan is laid to rest in Jaba', as Israeli army raids multiple areas in the West Bank; Settlers carry out wide-scale attacks.

- In its concluding statement of the 11th session: Fatah Revolutionary Council decides to continue dialogue with partners in the PLO and escalate popular resistance.

- Dangerous precedent: Criminal organizations in the 1948-occupied Palestine threaten to assassinate MK Ayman Odeh due to his statements and activities against them.

- Renewed protests against the Netanyahu government.

- Provocative march by settlers in the Old City of Jerusalem.

- New academic year officially starts in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:

- Masses in Jenin mourn martyr Kanaan; Settlers raid the town of Qusra and organize provocative marches in Jerusalem and Hebron.

- In its concluding statement, Fatah Revolutionary Council reaffirms the criminalization and boycott of the [Israeli] municipal elections in the occupied Jerusalem as candidates and nominees.
