RAMALLAH, Sunday, May 14, 2023 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas commended last night the great efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt to reach a ceasefire agreement and stop the Israeli aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip.
President Abbas said Egypt’s active role in reaching the ceasefire agreement and ending the five-day Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip which claimed the lives of 33 innocent Palestinians, including six children, and injure more than 150 others.
He particularly commended his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's keenness and personal interest in the Palestinian cause and the rights of our people, which he said reflects the strength of the Egyptian-Palestinian relations.
The President wished mercy to the victims of the Israeli aggression and a speedy recovery to the wounded.
