RAMALLAH, Friday, March 17, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today is mainly clear and mild in daytime and relatively cold in the mountains and mild in other districts in nighttime with a rise in temperature, which approaches 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Light southeasterly to southwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 9°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 19°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A low pressure and a cold front are set to hit the region on Saturday, causing temperature to plummet and paving the way to partly cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold conditions in daytime, particularly in the mountains, and cold conditions in the night. Sporadic rain showers are expected mainly in the north, and gradually intensifying overnight and spreading to the center and southern districts.
The low pressure and cold front continue to affect the region on Sunday, causing temperature to further plummet and approach 5°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to cloudy and cold conditions, particularly in the mountains. Sporadic rain showers, possibly torrential, continue to fall with occasional thunderstorms and hail.
