SALFIT, December 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces began uprooting dozens of olive trees today, Tuesday, along the colonial road adjacent to the town of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit.
Deir Istiya Mayor Abdul Rahim Zeidan told WAFA that the occupation forces are continuing their bulldozing operations west of the town, following previous notices of uprooting. This will result in the uprooting of approximately 500 mature olive trees along the road connecting the town of Haris to the Wadi Qana area.
Zeidan added that the bulldozing operations target Palestinian agricultural lands and constitute a direct attack on their livelihoods, as part of the occupation's policy of colonial expansion and the seizure of more Palestinian land.
