RAMALLAH, December 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday evening uprooted dozens of trees in the Nabi Saleh village, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.
They said that the occupation forces escorted a bulldozer near Palestinians’ houses adjacent to the village entrance, where the heavy machinery razed a tract of Palestinian-owned farmland and uprooted dozens of trees.
During ensuing confrontations, the gun-toting soldiers unleashed barrages of live fire and tear gas canisters, but without any casualties.
The occupation forces have erected a permanent checkpoint at the junction between the nearby colony of Halamish, the village of Nabi Saleh, and Route 465. Consisting of a watchtower, concrete blocks, and a metal gate, the checkpoint is staffed by the military around the clock. Soldiers usually inspect Palestinian passengers and vehicles passing through the checkpoint.
