GAZA, December 18, 2025 (WAFA) – A one-month-old infant died on Thursday due to the extreme cold in the Khan Younis area of ​​southern Gaza.

Medical sources said that the infant Saeed Abdeen died in the Khan Younis area due to the severe cold.

The sources indicated that the number of deaths admitted to hospitals as a result of the storm and severe cold in the Gaza Strip has risen to 13.

These figures reflect the severity of the humanitarian situation in the Strip, especially for children and displaced people living in flimsy tents ill-equipped to withstand the cold weather. The residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from a lack of shelter and medical care, and a shortage of heating due to fuel scarcity, amidst a stormy, cold, and rainy weather system.
