RAMALLAH, Monday, March 13, 2023 (WAFA) – Generally clear to partly cloudy skies are expected today in Palestine with moderate conditions and a drop in temperature, which remains 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southeasterly to westerly, light to moderate, and active at night, and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 8°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 19°C and a low of 7°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 14°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A cold front is expected to affect Palestine on Tuesday bringing a significant drop in temperature and cold conditions with rain and possibly thunderstorms expected in most areas.

The country remains under the effect of the cold front on Wednesday with the temperature becoming 5°C below the seasonal average. Rain and occasional thunderstorms are expected in most areas, which recede at night.

Moderate spring conditions return on Thursday as the temperature rises again to become around the seasonal average, said the PMD.
