President Abbas’s meeting with China's Special Envoy on Middle East focus of dailies

RAMALLAH, Sunday, March 12, 2023 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic-language dailies focused today on President Mahmoud Abbas’s meeting yesterday with Zhai Jun, China's Special Envoy on the Middle East Issue, at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.

These are the main headlines:

Al-Quds:

- President [Mahmoud Abbas] briefs Chinese envoy [Zhai Jun] on the latest developments in Palestine.

-  To avoid escalation, Netanyahu considers postponing the forcible eviction of [the Palestinian community of] Khan al-Ahmar and the legalizing of the Israeli settlement outpost of Evyatar until after Ramadan.

- The Jenin National Document: Resistance is a legitimate right guaranteed by international conventions and norms

- For the 26th day in a row, Palestinian prisoners [in Israeli jails] continue their civil disobedience amid warnings of a hunger strike.
