RAMALLAH, Sunday, February 26, 2023 (WAFA) - Exports decreased in December, 2022 by 5% compared to November, 2022. It also decreased by 5% compared to December, 2021 and reached $150.1 Million, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) in a press release.
Exports to Israel slightly decreased in December, 2022 by 0.3% compared to November, 2022 and it represented 86% of total Exports in December, 2022, said PCBS.
At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 24% during the same period compared to November, 2022.
Imports decreased in December, 2022 by 4% compared to November, 2022. While it increased by 13% compared to December, 2021 and reached $721.6 Million, added the release.
Imports from Israel decreased by 2% in December, 2022 compared to November, 2022 and it represented 58% of total imports in December, 2022.
At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 6% compared to November, 2022, said PCBS.
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 4% in December, 2022 compared to November, 2022. While it increased by 19% compared to December, 2021 and reached $571.5 Million, it concluded.
