RAMALLAH, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 (WAFA) – Meetings and remarks by Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh during his trip to Brussels, the meeting in Jordan between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and King Abdullah, and the daily Israeli violations in the occupied territories were highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
The main front-page story headline in al-Hayat al-Jadida daily said Shtayyeh discussed bilateral relations with the Belgium foreign minister and met Arab ambassadors to Belgium and the European Union.
The paper quoted the Prime Minister saying, “Palestine is the greatest common factor among all the Arab countries.”
It also said that pro-Israel groups are collecting funds in the United States to support the Israeli murderers of the Dawabshe family in the West Bank and the Yitzhak Rabin assassin.
Al-Quds daily highlighted the visit of Netanyahu to Jordan, which it described as brief and quick, and said King Abdullah discussed with Netanyahu keeping Al-Aqsa Mosque out of the way of harm and creating a political horizon for peace.
It said Jewish fanatic groups have called on fellow members to increase their storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Passover holiday.
The third daily, al-Ayyam, said Israel razed land and dug for settlements in Silwan, issued a demolition order for a house in Jerusalem, and raided Sebastia and villages in the Jenin district.
It said an Israeli military vehicle ran over two people in Jenin as settlers carried out attacks against Palestinians in several areas.
The paper also said that a settler seized 130 dunums of land on the outskirts of Ramallah and started to work on it, according to the Israeli Ha’aretz newspaper.
It said members of the Israeli government have proposed a new law targeting Palestinian-Arab members of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, as members of the Knesset voted yesterday to extend the “apartheid” law imposed in the West Bank for five more years.
