Israeli police break into, search residence of the Palestinian Authority’s Jerusalem governor Adnan Ghaith

JERUSALEM, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli police raided early this morning and thoroughly searched the residence of the Palestinian Authority’s Jerusalem governor, Adnan Ghaith, in Silwan neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem, reported WAFA correspondent.

She said the police ransacked the house during the search.

An Israeli court ruled on August 4 to place Ghaith under open-ended house arrest without specifying a time limit.

The governor was arrested 35 times since he was named governor by the Palestinian Authority in August 2018, banned from attending meetings or getting in touch with Palestinian officials, as well as banned from traveling abroad or leaving Jerusalem to the West Bank.
