GAZA, Monday, August 8, 2022 (WAFA) – After concluding a ceasefire agreement last night that restored calm to the Gaza Strip after three days of Israeli airstrikes, Gaza’s main commercial crossing, Karm Abu Salem/Kerem Shalom, reopened today to allow the entry of badly needed fuel and other goods, reported WAFA correspondent.
He said that several trucks transported fuel into the Gaza Strip after seven days of forced closure of the crossing.
More trucks carrying foodstuff and other goods are also expected to resume entry into Gaza today.
The two crossings from Israel into Gaza were closed four days before Israel started its air strikes on Friday that led to the killing of 44 Palestinians, 15 of them were children and four women, and the injury of 360 others, in addition to the heavy destruction of homes and property.
