Two Palestinians killed, others injured in an Israeli army incursion into West Bank city of Jenin

JENIN, Thursday, March 31, 2022 (WAFA) - Two young Palestinians were killed today and several others injured, three remain critical, in a large-scale Israeli army incursion into the northern West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Ministry of Health and local sources.

The Ministry of Health said Sanad Abu Atiyeh, 17, and Yazid Saadi, 23, have died after arriving in hospital.

The Ministry of Health said 15 people were injured in the incursion, 14 of them shot by live bullets, with three reported to be critical and one moderate to critical.

A large Israeli army force raided Jenin this morning, 24 hours after a Palestinian resident of the town of Yabad, near Jenin, shot and killed four Israelis in a shooting attack in the Tel Aviv neighborhood of Bnai Brak.

Witnesses said residents clashed with the raiding forces, which opened live fire and shot teargas at the Palestinians, killing two and injuring the others, who were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The Ministry of Health said tear gas canisters were shot near Jenin government hospital and gas penetrated into the emergency room causing panic and confusion.

Reports also said one Palestinian were detained as the army operation continues in Jenin and its refugee camp.

Soldiers also broke into the town of Yabad, specifically into the house of the Bnai Brak assailant, causing serious havoc and destruction to the home, and beating up its residents and neighbors.

One Palestinian was also detained in Yabad.
