RAMALLAH, Saturday, March 5, 2022 (WAFA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Malki today lambasted the international community, but mainly the United States and Europe, for their double-standard policy when it comes to Israeli crimes in Palestine vis-a-vis other issues.
“This issue is constantly raised, especially about the United States and some European countries' dealing with the Palestinian issue compared to other issues,” Malki told the official Voice of Palestine radio.
The US and some European countries do not want to talk about Israeli crimes and violations committed against the Palestinian people, he said.
“There are countries that refuse to discuss item seven in the United Nations Human Rights Council, which is related to the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories," said Malki.
"Palestine faces a fierce war in the Human Rights Council led by the United States, some European countries, and Israel to prevent discussion of item seven," he said, adding Israel refuses to be referred to separately in an item about its aggression against the Palestinian people, and there are countries that come to defend Israel and also refuse to discuss item seven, including many European countries.
The foreign minister pointed out that the UN Security Council will be called upon to hold periodic meetings to discuss Israel's violations and crimes and to assume its responsibilities in providing protection to the Palestinian people.
