RAMALLAH, Wednesday, June 09, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is mostly clear, hot and dry in the mountains and very hot in other districts in daytime with another rise in temperature, which approaches 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Clear and mild to slightly cold conditions are expected in the morning and night hours. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blow in daytime, while moderate to occasionally active southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 22°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
The same weather conditions are expected for Thursday.
Friday’s temperature is set to drop and become seasonal, paving the way to partly cloudy and relatively hot conditions in the mountains and hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in the morning and night hours, particularly in the mountains.
Saturday’s weather is set to be mostly clear, hot and dry in mountains and very hot in other districts in daytime with a further rise in temperature, which approaches 2°C above the seasonal average. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in the morning and night hours, particularly in the mountains.
PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
