RAMALLAH, Thursday, May 27, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is mostly clear and hot in most districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime, with no significant change in temperature, which remains 5°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Moderate conditions are set to prevail in the early morning and night hours, particularly in the mountains. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A slight drop is expected in temperature on Friday, paving the way to mostly clear and hot conditions in most districts and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Moderate conditions are expected in the early morning and night hours, particularly in the mountains.

Saturday’s temperature is set to further drop and approach 2°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to mostly clear and relatively hot conditions in most districts and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.

Sunday’s temperature is set to remain steady with relatively hot conditions in most districts and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in the early morning and night hours, particularly in mountains.

PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
