Weather forecast: Partly cloudy, mild to relatively hot conditions

RAMALLAH, Friday, May 21, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy and mild in most districts and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a significant drop in temperature, which becomes a little unseasonably high, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is moderate in most districts and relatively cold in the mountains. Moderate to active westerly to northwesterly wind blows in daytime, while westerly northwesterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 17°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 25°C and a low of 16°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 23°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to further drop and approach 4°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy and moderate conditions in most districts and relatively cold conditions in the mountains. Slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.

A slight rise is expected in temperature on Sunday, with partly cloudy and mild conditions in most districts and relatively cold conditions in the mountains. Slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.

Monday’s weather is partly cloudy to clear and mild in most districts and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Relatively to slightly cold conditions are expected in the morning and night hours. There is a chance of light rain, particularly in the north.

PMD warns people against gusty wind, especially on Saturday.
