RAMALLAH, Wednesday, May 19, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is unseasonably relatively hot to hot in most districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime, with a rise in temperature, which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather tonight is slightly cold in the mountains and moderate in other districts. Light to moderate northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low to medium.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 19°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A further slight rise is expected in temperature on Thursday, paving the way to mostly clear and unseasonably hot conditions in most districts and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Slightly cold to moderate conditions are expected in nighttime.
Friday’s temperature is set to plummet and approach 2°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and mild conditions in most districts and hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.
Temperature is set to additionally plummet and approach 3°C below the seasonal average on Saturday, paving the way to partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions, particularly in the mountains, in daytime.
PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
