RAMALLAH, Monday, May 10, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and relatively hot to hot in daytime with a significant drop in temperature, which approaches 5°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather tonight is mild in the mountains and relatively hot in other districts. Moderate to occasionally active southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows in daytime, while light to moderate westerly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 19°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 24°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Tuesday’s temperature is set to further slightly drop by 1°C, with clear to partly cloudy and relatively hot to hot conditions in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.
A further slight drop is expected in temperature on Wednesday, paving the way to mostly clear and relatively hot to hot conditions in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.
Thursday’s temperature is set to further drop and approach 2°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to moderate conditions in the mountains and relatively hot to hot conditions in other districts in daytime.
PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
