RAMALLAH, Thursday, May 06, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is mostly clear, dry and relatively hot to hot in daytime and mild to slightly cold conditions in nighttime, with a drop in temperature, which approaches 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 17°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 27°C and a low of 16°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 23°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Friday’s temperature is set to further drop and become seasonal, paving the way to mostly clear and mild conditions in mountains and relatively hot to hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions will prevail in nighttime.

A significant rise is expected in temperature, which approaches 7°C above the seasonal average on Saturday, paving the way to mostly clear, dry and hot to extremely hot conditions in daytime. Moderate conditions are expected in nighttime.

Sunday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 11°C above the seasonal average, intensifying the heat stress.

PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
