RAMALLAH, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 (WAFA) – The Central Elections Commission (CEC) said it has received until noon today 28 applications of lists running for the Palestinian legislative elections planned for May 22 and that it has accepted 13 applications so far.

It said that it will keep the doors of its headquarters in al-Bireh and the regional office in Gaza open until midnight tonight where staff will continue receiving nomination applications for the upcoming 2021 Legislative Council elections. No nomination applications shall be received after this time, it said.

The CEC added that it will finalize examining nomination applications, and exhibit the preliminary register of electoral lists and their candidates to the public on April 6th to enable citizens to review the applications and submit objections and appeals against any of the electoral lists or their candidates.
