RAMALLAH, Friday, March 12, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy and cold to very cold with a significant drop in temperature, which becomes unseasonably low, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

The chance remains for sporadic rain showers along with occasional thunderstorms in most districts, with the chance of rain tapering off towards the evening. Strong southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows in daytime with occasional gusts, while moderate to occasionally active westerly to northwesterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 12°C and a low of 5°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 11°C and a low of 4°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 10°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to significantly rise and become seasonal, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and relatively cold conditions in the mountains and mild conditions in the Jordan Valley.

An additional rise in temperature is expected on Sunday, paving the way to mild to warm conditions.

Monday’s temperature is set to further significantly rise, paving the way to partly cloudy and relatively warm in the mountains in warm in other districts.

PMD warns people against low horizontal visibility and slippery roads.
