RAMALLAH, Thursday, March 04, 2021 (WAFA) – The low-pressure front that affected Palestine yesterday continues today with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, cold conditions as a result of a drop in temperature to become 5°C below the seasonal average, along with rain and possibly thunderstorms that will subside in the evening, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to northwesterly, active and sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 6°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9°C and a low of 5°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature is expected to significantly rise tomorrow, Friday, through Sunday as spring weather conditions are expected to prevail.

PMD warns people against the formation of flash floods in valleys, mainly in the eastern parts of the country, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility.
