RAMALLAH, Tuesday, March 02, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is cloudy, cold in the mountainous areas with a slight drop in temperature and a chance of light, scattered rainfall in some districts, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are southwesterly to westerly, active, and sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 12°C and a low of 6°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 11°C and a low of 5°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A low pressure front is expected to affect the country tomorrow, Wednesday, leading to a drop in temperature to become 4°C below the season’s average, very cold conditions, mainly in the mountainous areas, and scattered showers in most areas possibly with thunderstorms.
The cold weather conditions are expected to continue on Thursday as the temperature continues to decline to become 5°C below the average. Rain and occasional thunderstorms are expected in most districts, which subsides by the evening.
A significant rise in temperature is expected on Friday, but cold conditions will continue in the mountainous areas, said the PMD, which warned people against slippery roads and low horizontal visibility.
