Weather: Cold as scattered rain expected at night

RAMALLAH, Monday, February 22, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is partially cloudy to clear and cold in the mountainous district to relatively cold in the rest with a slight rise in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD), as scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms and hail are expected during the evening on some districts, mainly in the south and east.

Winds are northeasterly to southeasterly, moderate to active, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 8°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 12°C and a low of 7°C is expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The unstable weather conditions that affected the country over the past few days will continue to affect it tomorrow, Tuesday, with a slight drop in temperature and occasional scattered showers on most districts that could be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, along with strong winds.

No change in weather conditions is expected on Wednesday with a chance of rain in some districts.

A slight drop in temperature is expected on Thursday with a chance of rain in some districts, said the PMD, which warned people against icy and slippery roads and frost formation on Monday morning.
