Weather: Mostly clear with a rise in temperature yet remains very cold

RAMALLAH, Saturday, January 23, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is mostly clear with a slight rise in temperature yet remains very cold, particularly in mountainous districts, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southeasterly to easterly, light to moderate, get active at times, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and in Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 11°C and a low of 5°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 10°C and a low of 4°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 10°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Sunday’s temperature is expected to further rise as cold weather conditions continue, mainly in the mountainous districts.

Temperature is expected to rise again on Monday and Tuesday with cold conditions prevailing, mainly in the mountainous regions of Palestine.

PMD warns people against frost formation in the early morning hours of Saturday and Sunday.
