RAMALLAH, Friday, January 22, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is mostly clear, sunny and very cold, particularly in mountainous districts in the early morning and night hours, with a slight rise in temperature, which becomes seasonal, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Frost formation is expected in the dawn and night hours. Moderate to active, southeasterly to easterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 5°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9°C and a low of 4°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 10°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 10°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A further slight rise is expected in temperature on Saturday, as mostly clear and relatively cold to cold conditions continue to prevail in daytime and very cold conditions in the dawn and nighttime.
Sunday’s temperature is set to further rise and become unseasonably high, paving the way to clear and relatively cold to cold conditions in daytime and cold conditions in nighttime.
Mostly clear and cold conditions are expected for Monday with a further slight rise in temperature.
PMD warns people against frost formation in the early morning hours of Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
