RAMALLAH, Thursday, January 21, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is mostly clear, sunny and very cold, particularly in the early morning and night hours, with a slight rise in temperature, which remains unseasonably low, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Light northwesterly to northeasterly wind blows in daytime, while light to moderate southeasterly to easterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are low. Frost is expected to form in the early morning and night hours.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 9°C and a low of 4°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 8°C and a low of 3°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 11°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Friday’s temperature is set to further slightly rise and become seasonal, as mostly clear, sunny and very cold conditions continue to prevail, particularly in mountainous districts in the early morning and night hours. Frost formation is expected in the dawn and night hours.
A further slight rise is expected in temperature on Saturday, as mostly clear and relatively cold to cold conditions continue to prevail in daytime and very cold conditions in the dawn and nighttime.
Sunday’s temperature is set to further rise and become unseasonably high, paving the way to clear and relatively cold to cold conditions in daytime and cold conditions in nighttime.
PMD warns people against frost formation in the early morning hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as well as against slippery roads.
