RAMALLAH, July 26, 2012 (WAFA) - Exports reached $64.3 million in May, registering an increase by 6% compared to April, while imports reached $385.8m, registering an increase by 5% during the same period, a press release by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said Thursday.
May’s exports to Israel increased by 6.4% compared to the previous month, representing 87.9% of the total exports, while exports to other countries increased by 3.1% during the same period.
Imports from Israel increased by 1.8% in May compared to April, representing 65.0% of the total May imports, while imports from other countries increased by 11.5% compared to April.
