RAMALLAH, May 29, 2012 (WAFA) – Minister of prisoners’ affairs Issa Qaraqi said on Tuesday that the Israeli prison service imposed collective punitive measures against Nafha prisoners.
He told WAFA that a special Israeli unit raided both 13 and 14 sections in Nafha prison and provocatively inspected the prisoners, before shutting down the two sections, and deprived the prisoners’ their break time.
He said that IPS prevented Hebron and Bethlehem prisoners’ families from visiting the prisoners.
Qaraqi said that the prisoners returned meals to protest IPS raiding of the two sections and banning of family visitations.
