TUNIS, March 8, 2011 (WAFA) – A Palestinian aid convoy Tuesday set off from the Palestinian Embassy in Tunis, in solidarity with the Tunisian people, to address the humanitarian crisis caused by the mass flow of displaced Arabs and foreigners from Libya to the Tunisian-Libyan border.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society organized the convoy on behalf of the Palestinian people to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the camps containing the displaced who left Libya due to recent events there.

The Palestinian Embassy ensured the status of a number of Palestinian students in Libya, who arrived to the Tunisian-Libyan borders, and transferred them to Tunis City until they can go back to either Palestine or Libya if conditions return to normal there.
