Israeli Army Shoots Seven Palestinians

NABLUS, March 7, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Monday opened fire at and injured seven Palestinians in Qusra, a village southeast of Nablus, after the residents responded to an armed Jewish settlers’ attack.

Ghassan Daghlas, Palestinian Official in charge of the Israeli settlement file in northern West Bank, said that “settlers approached the village, and started shooting at the residents.”

The Israeli army opened fire at the Palestinians when they responded to the settlers’ machinegun attack and injured three, he added. some Palestinians’ conditions are described as serious.

 

Daghlass said that the shooting is still going on and there are reports of other injuries. He expressed fears of a repeated scenario of two months ago, when settlers attacked farmers in the fields and clashes took place for several hours which led to the injury of a number of citizens of the village, one of them seriously injured in the head.
 
Wafa’s reporter said that till now injured Palestinians are being transferred to Nablus hospitals while paramedics are banned to reach the scene by Israeli soldiers.
