RAMALLAH, March7, 2011 (WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister-Designate, Salam Fayyad Monday said: ‘Women's right to equality and respect of their rights and status is not negotiable.’

 Coordinator of the Women's Affairs Department, Amneh al-Rimawi stressed the need to promote full equality,  work to raise the percentage of women in the labor market by creating opportunities for decent work , social protection and the elimination of all forms of discrimination against Women.

Fayyad announced a paid holiday for women in all government institutions, local bodies and private institutions, on the occasion of the eighth of March; International Women's Day.
