RAMALLAH, February 1, 2011 (WAFA) – The Israeli army arrested 12 Palestinians on Tuesday in different regions in the West Bank, according to security sources.

The army raided several villages in the Ramallah, Bethlehem and Qalqilya regions and arrested Palestinians, according to the local residents.

Security sources said that soldiers arrested three Palestinians from Nahaleen and Elminya, two villages in the Bethlehem area, after breaking into their homes and searching them. It was not immediately known where the rest came from.

The Israeli army on Monday arrested 22 other Palestinians also from different areas in the West Bank, a policy the Palestinian Authority has strongly criticized as undermining its rule in these areas.
