Water Authority Discusses Network Rehabilitation with Finland

RAMALLAH, January 24, 2011 (WAFA) - Palestinian Water Authority discussed with the Finnish government Monday its 2011 plan for rehabilitation of water infrastructure in the Jerusalem area, which is being funded by the Finnish government.

The supervisory committee in the Water Authority met the Finnish government representative, Renata Suzanna, in the presence Shaddad Al Attili, head of the authority, and other Palestinian officials.

Head of the project, Rawan Iseed, proposed steps for project progress including the establishment of tanks, water networks and a new department to oversee project implementation.

Iseed briefed the meeting on the financial resources available and still needed to cover all aspects of the project.

Suzanna valued the project mechanism, saying the plan was good and clear and promising to look into its proposed requirements.
