Malki: Al Jazeera Works to Serve Israel Through Fabricated Issues

RAMALLAH, January24 (WAFA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Riad Malki said on Monday that Al Jazeera chose to serve Israel through offering the so-called “secret documents” about Palestinian negotiations at a time Israel is leading a fierce attack against President Mahmud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership.

He said after meeting deputy prime minister of the Czech Republic and Foreign Minister Carl Chwerzenberg that he was surprised at the timing of al Jazeera report, which he said was an attempt to pressure the Palestinian side after its success in winning International support and recognitions of the Palestinian state.

He emphasized the seriousness of what he said were fabricated reports by Al-Jazeera, accusing the satellite channel of intentionally trying to create a crack between the Palestinian leadership and its people.

He pointed out that it was better for Al-Jazeera to return to the Palestinian leadership and consult it before airing that report, which he said “lacks the basics of accuracy.”

President Abbas constantly consults the Arab leaders and friends in the world, and what is said in the enclosed rooms is the same as what President Abbas says outside, he said.
