GAZA CITY, January 22, 2011 (WAFA) – One Palestinian was reported killed and three wounded Saturday when Israel shelled areas east of Gaza City, according to local sources and eyewitnesses.

They said Israeli forces based near the Gaza borders with Israel fired several shells in the direction of Palestinians near the barrier killing one and injuring three others.

The identity of the dead Palestinian was not immediately known.

Israel has been targeting Palestinian farmers and gravel collectors near the border with Israel so far killing and injuring several of them.
