RAMALLAH, January 17, 2011 (WAFA) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is expected to arrive Tuesday on a visit to the Palestine and meet President Mahmoud Abbas in Jericho.

Medvedev was expected to arrive in Tel Aviv airport on Monday but he canceled his trip due to an employee strike at the Israeli foreign ministry.

The president is scheduled to fly to Jordan and cross the Jordanian border to the Palestine. The border will close during his crossing.

During his visit Medvedev will attend the opening of the Russian Museum as part of the 10,000 years celebration of Jericho city (the oldest city in the world) which was launched on October 10, 2010.
