JERUSALEM, January 16, 2011 (WAFA) – The Global Coalition Conference continues its work Sunday in supporting the issue of Jerusalem and Palestinians in their struggle.

The conference launched yesterday in Istanbul with the participation of key Arab and Muslim figures from over fifty countries. During the conference, the “Charter of Istanbul in Support of Jerusalem and Palestine” will be issued, which states that “Palestine is an Arab Islamic land belonging to the Palestinian people and the Israeli occupation is void.”

 Global Coalition in Support of Jerusalem and Palestine is a gathering of alliance between associations, institutions and bodies that support the Palestinian issue, people, land and holy sites. Through joint work and mobilized efforts, the coalition also contributes to promote Palestinians’ steadfastness, meet their needs and improve their conditions.
