KHAN YOUNIS, January 10, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes attacked early Monday morning five targets in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian sources. Initial reports said no one was hurt in the attacks.
The planes twice attacked the same place east of Khan Younis, said the sources. The three other strikes hit targets in Gaza City.
Tension has been high in the Gaza Strip in light of Israeli threats to carry out a large-scale assault similar to the December 27, 2008 invasion that left over 1400 dead, mainly women and children.
