RAMALLAH, January 9, 2011 (WAFA) – Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeineh said Sunday that Israel “does not have a right to build anywhere in East Jerusalem or in any part of the Palestinian territory occupied in 1967.”

 He said in a statement commenting on Israel’s demolitions in East Jerusalem, particularly the demolition of Shepherd Hotel in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, that Israel “has sabotaged with this all United States efforts and ended any possibility to return to negotiations.”

He said that “the US administration has to stop this Israeli misbehavior in order to preserve its credibility.”

The Palestinians, he said, are going to the Security Council to get a unanimous international position on the illegality of settlements in the Palestinian territory.
