SALFIT, October 19 (WAFA)-  The Israeli Occupation Forces  (IOF) deployed, today, the Ariel Settlement that is established by force on the lands of the Salfit, Iskaka, Yasuf and Burkin citizens.

The Mayor of Burkin said that the bulldozer are conducting wide excavations in the settlement’s vicinity from the western area that is known as the industrial zone, pointing out that these excavations are a start for the Industrial zone deployment in Burkin, noting that some of these factories were established to constitute a health nuisance and environmental damage by flow of contaminated water from the industrial waste.

Ariel  is considered as one of the largest settlements blocs in the west Bank that was built on thousands of acres that forms a finger in the depth of the West Bank preventing territorial contiguity between the north and the south.   

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted from an official in the Israel Lands Administration today Tuesday, that a total of 4900 housing units planned for construction in Jerusalem and West Bank. These unites have passed all the validation stages and the rest are only biddings to start implementation  as 400 units will be in Ariel these include the 1300 new units in Jerusalem and 3600 units in the West Bank.

In 2004 the Israeli authorities announced that Ariel settlement is an Israeli city in an attempt to include it to its authority in a violation to the international legitimacy.
