RAMALLAH, August 25, 2010(WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas met today, in the presidency headquarters, the envoy of the Quartet to the peace process in the Middle East Tony Blair.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the peace process, and launching direct negotiations on the basis of the Quartet statement and the freezing of settlements.

President Abbas briefed his guest on the efforts by the Quartet's envoy to assist in building Palestinian institutions and the developing  the national economy.
