RAMALLAH, January 21, 2010 (WAFA)- Presidency Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rdeina said Thursday the Palestinian leadership will not accept the presence of any Israeli soldier on the Palestinian territory once the Israeli occupation is ended.
Abu Rdeina was commenting in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu statements in which he said that that the security challenges imposes the presence of the Israeli army around the future Palestinian state.
“We will not accept less than a full sovereign Palestinian state on all its territory, borders, recourses and airspace,” Abu Rdeina said. “We will not accept any Israeli soldier on our land. We will not accept that our state be under Israeli control.”
He said that Netanyahu statements proves that Israel is putting obstacles in front the resumption of negotiations, adding that it reveals what solution Netanyahu wants and accepts.
Abu Rdiena said that any future relations between the states of Palestine and Israel must be bases on mutual recognition and respect, according to international laws and norms.
